Verses Covered
Luke 2:1-7, 2:8-9  (Part1) Matthew 2:1-2  (Part2) Genesis 35:19  (Part3)
Luke 2:9-20   (Part2) Jeremiah 31:15  (Part3) Matthew 2:7-12 (Part3)
Everything about the birth of Jesus fulfills Old Testament prophecies about the coming Messiah. There are those who want
you to believe that somehow Jesus set up all the things about his birth and life so that it looks like He is the Messiah. How could
this possibly be? These are some of the prophecies of His coming hundreds and thousands of years previous to His birth: the
city and place of His birth; the coming of the magi seeking Him , following a star that led them to the house where He lived at 2
years old; and the evil acts of Herod to kill all children 2 years old and under. All of these things and more were foretold about
the Messiah. Could a man, a human being, make all these things happen? No! Only God can do these things, making it possible
for Jesus to come into this world to fulfill God's promises to us.
