We are starting a new year,
2014. The year 2013 and the past taught us much, built
us and shaped us for what God wants for us in 2014 and
beyond. The past is not intended to hold us, but it
gives us memorials for God’s work in preparing us for
2014 and beyond. We cannot stay in the past, holding on
to past victories, failures, pains, etc. It is for us to
move on into 2014 and beyond, listening to and obeying
God’s will for us. Be excited and joyous about what God
will do in us and to us in 2014 and beyond. Our great
challenge as Christians is to die to self and to live in
Christ to the glory of God.
